For many, music is the healing factor of the soul. Music, much like time, mixes and builds on top of itself to make melodies. It also creates measures of enchanting harmony to appeal to the listener's brain. We will also be attracted to music because it gives us a sence of ralaxation, focus, or creation. The idea of creation comes from a satisfaction built by human desire to control and make things. Music works by stimulating our brain to make epic rhythmic patterns. These patterns ultimatly will either relax your state of mind or disrupt it. I have learned the ways of building the force within my lungs and releasing it through the "trombone". I cast loose force by buzzing air through brass shaped to tone the sound to create amazing melodies. Music increasingly enhances your mind; it is even argued that Albert Einstein's intelligence was first flourished after learning to play the violin. Even the well rounded physicist Richard Feynman was bound to the rhythm of percussion instruments.
I have been playing the trombone consistently since I was in 5th grade, and I thought joining my school band would be no problem. It was hardproved a bit more difficult than expected, but from the trials came the satisfaction of learning a song and playing it flawlessly. The formal training I received in the school band coupled with my own interest in music, I discovered new ways to play the trombone and with so many songs to learn, I became excited and doubtful of my skills at the same time. I received my first big song in the winter season of 6th grade, it was the renown song Jingle Bells. I was determined to master the infamous melody and surprised even myself. I remember my teacher had to personally tutor me after school to help me get ready. I needed to play louder, so he taught me to use my lungs to maximize the air buzzed through and create louder a sound. It was like pushing the air really hard and quick through the instrument. He explained it as if you were pushing a "logjam in the river" and the same amount of force would be put, except the upper body would be used instead of the lower.
The musical experience I have had most of my life helped me relax my thoughts and still use my brain at the same time. I am striving to become a well-rounded artist and my interest in the visual arts enhances my musical experiences. Music helps me focus and its proven that I have gotten my work done quicker while lisening to jazz. After years of practice I can now also play louder then most of the kids in my band and I still play the trombone to this day. I have also started playing the guitar. Playing multiple instruments is also another way I learned to enhance my musical abilities. Music is sent to my ear and processed in my brain. Then music travels to my heart and gets pumped into my soul, which is where it will stay.

Art and Growth
The first time I was introduced to art was when I was only six years old. Art was a way I expressed my feelings even though at first they were nothing more than meaningful scribbles on a page. People have their own views about talent, but I am a huge believer in hard work, motivation, and dedication. My interest in art started as a means to express myself and evolved into an undeniable passion. When I fell off of a bed or hit something hard, as a toddler, I would always keep to myself and find another way of expressing the pain. It was often hard to express myself in traditional ways, but art provided me an outlet. It started when one day; my sister showed my family a painting she had done--. Amazed by this showcase, I started to practice drawing. I learned a lot from watching my sister and in secret I imitated her. I had no idea this early form of imitation would develop into exceptional development of skills.
Like any adolescent child I loved watching cartoons and I also developed an interest in music. This helped me process an artistic view to the world and helped my imagination amass. Early in my life I took my love for cartoons and tried emulating the character design on paper drawing my favorite cartoon characters over and over—just as I had done with my sister’s designs years earlier. I challenged and dared myself to be better, and did so. Dragon ball Z became my cartoon of choice and because of my daily viewing; it left surprising and clear images in my head throughout the day. Sitting on the floor in my bedroom, I drew pictures of the Dragon Ball Z characters in action poses. I watched carefully every morning and afternoon noticing all the lines and curves used to make this cartoon. Surprisingly some of the simplest methods were used to make each character, which made it easy to draw the character over and over. Each and every time my art would start to look more like the images on television. I kept repeating until the pictures started to look consistently perfect.
I grew and made art my own skill by imitating other’s works. I am now able to craft pieces of interest from simple ideas of my own. Although many of my designs end up in the trash, my heart and soul goes into each and every picture I create. I work with effort on every piece giving me more satisfaction for each one and I have now explored new mediums of artistic expression. I have discovered how to use clay, charcoals, paint brushes, random household supplies and even online software to create art. Viewing my older pieces still presents a powerful reminder of the path I have created for myself. My interest in art has evolved from imitation of others into polished masterpieces. If you say I have talent, I will tell you "I believe the talent is not art but the perception of it and molding it to how you want to express it". In my opinion everyone has a unique extra skill that must be developed. Talent is useless without hard work and persistence this is why I describe myself as an “artist under growth.”

Another night in rural Atlanta
Another night in rural Atlanta by Tawhid Kabir
Speeding on roller skates, I rushed through a puddle left from the rain and clutched the deep end of a swimming pool's rim. I fell at the bottom of the pool and my pants became dirty. I only went to skate after 6, because my landlord wouldn’t be there to yell at me. Being there so late meant I didn’t have much time to practice. I lived in an apartment complex and loved to find ways to relax. While walking to my apartment, I noticed the stars were out, and so I sat on the grass for a bit. As I star-gazed my friend Lazaro -who lived in an apartment complex behind mine- called me. I reached for my cell phone, brushed dirt from it and answered. He screamed in my ear," Yo, I can see you from my window. The grass is wet, you'll get your clothes stained"! I jumped up and turned my head around to look back at my clothes. Seeing that I had a stain from the grass and puddle, I growled and looked at my friend's red bricked apartment building, which had railing going trough the middle and up to the 4th floor. He said," if your mom sees that she’ll kill you, why don't you come to my house and we’ll play soccer, so you could blame it on the soccer ball." He always needed an excuse for me to come over, so we could do some sort of crazy thing. I replied, "what if I blame it on your soccer ball and not come over"! He then told me he had food, which made me literally fly towards his house. I jumped off a section dividing the apartment complexes and skated to his house.
I rode down to the courtyard in front of Lazaro’s apartment building and sat on a rocky hedge. I waited for 30 minutes but he let me in. He then popped out of his house again and wanted to play soccer but, Lazaro told me his soccer ball was flat. Then he explained to me that his uncle was a junior league soccer coach, and Lazaro though his uncle might have extra soccer balls in his equipment room. Lazaro explained that his uncle’s house wasn't too far away. I called my parents to tell them that I would be going to Lazaro's uncle’s house and would be late. Lazaro went to tell his parents to tell them he would be going to his uncle’s house with me. Since there were no sidewalks, I was forced to leave behind my roller skates and walk. I took an old pare of sandals from Lazaro and we were off. We made a few jokes and talked about how we were going to beat this game he just bought. Back then the ps2 games were new and we were hooked. We would spend Saturdays and Sundays playing all day and listening to music all night.
After we made it to Lazaro's uncle’s house we took some soccer balls and went downstairs. His uncle had a large field where we could set up goals with tree branches. We played until dark with some neighbors from the area. His uncle eventually joined us. I I was awful at soccer so we played quick games. When we were done, Lazaro’s uncle gave me a pair of fresh junior league pants so I wouldn't feel dirty and took us home in his car. He was nice enough -and gas prices were low enough- for him to drive Lazaro home and drop me off. I went home and took a shower ignoring my mom's yelling. She wasn’t happy to find more dirty clothes brought back. I told her I was sleepy and had no homework, but I lied and wanted to do homework during breakfast.

Poverty needn’t be barrier to learning
http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2010/01/05/poverty_neednt_be_barrier_to_learning/
Article-12
As the title presumes it has been too long that money becomes majorly important for education. As many studies were performed many schools introduced a future for many. Some of the schools even out performed richer ones. The standards were changed as higher scales. The tests and schools prove that if the student is willing to learn he can even reach achievements of outstanding odds. Many of the schools used art and creativity to attract the children to school so that their will to learn would grow. The outcome we could increase curriculum that make the children more active and now even poverty cant be a barrier to knowledge.
I was extremely happy to read this article, as it shows how even the poor can become successful. With even a little creativity children who are willing to give up will have motive not to, we could change as a resolution to 2010, we should change for the better. The success of knowledge wich can be a powerful thing is truly amazing.

Based on a true story Hollywood creates a marvelous movie.~my look at it
actual steve and nathaniel
Poverty stricken and unready to face the destructive sad world, young Nathaniel shields himself behind the comfort of music. Later suffering from Schizophrenia and dropping out of college, Nathaniel roams the streets playing music with a 2-string-violin. As a article columnist Steve Lopez writes about Nathaniel after a encounter and background research. Soon a women who reads the column sends a cello for Nathaniel. As Nathaniel is on the verge of becoming big his Schizophrenia kicks in and he becomes aggressive. Even though he doesn't play in a stadium there still is great talent in him.
This movie shows how many homeless are affected by many conditions. Forced to live in a dangerous life homeless are not only unable to take care of them selves neither to understand what problems they have. As Nathaniel shows great praise over Steve, he fails to see that not just Steve but the whole world might love his music. The effort that Steve had put towards this wasn't just for the sake of keeping readers interested in the news but to acknowledge what others might not be able to see about poverty and economic issues.

Poor Children Likelier to Get Antipsychotics
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/12/health/12medicaid.html
Article-10
Data shows that for some reason the most lower class that gets medical insurance from medicate have been getting 4 times the regular amount of medicine then middle class kids. Is it because many think that these psychiatric drugs might help to the cause of less violence in poverty filled areas. These inane remarks might be the reason behind it but do the doctors know that these overdoses might lead to long term side effects. A pediatric advisory committee decided to put warnings on the drugs as a way to rid the problem, but many still disagree and say the emotional low class children are bound to take drugs/medicine either ways.
As the argument continues for a few more paragraphs, I have made my own decision about this problem. As i understand every thing with a moderate amount will eventually add up into a preventing status and with overdose comes many side affects. The only way to solve it is to have the doctors enlightened on what is the harder but better choice. We shouldn't always take the small and easy path but the long and hard one so we may learn something, gain experience and grow into what makes us, us.

Very Sick, and Now a Curiosity
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/22/health/22virus.html?ref=health
Article-9
A 44 year old women becomes sick on a travel and faces strange conditioning. She comes home to find that the doctors are unsure of the illness because of the different symptoms. After a series of tests she found out it was a case of marburg virus. The most saddening part was that there was no specific treatment, nor any vaccines for it. She is still alive and the highly easy to infect sickness didn't move to any one else. The question is why did only she become infected when she went to a marburg cave with many others? The scientists are currently creating a cure of the marburg, but unsure why the women survived they are having second thoughts about the infection as it didnt infect any others.
I hope that no one has this issue again but if we were to prevent this as in get in that cave and find the problem(which would be costly but effective) or if simply we could help find ways to help the person get faster test results before the virus spreads would be great.
