Article Summery- Mary Ellen McCormack, a girl who's original parents were unable to take care of here had put her up for adoption. Her father later died as well as her adopting father. The adopting mother soon remarried to another spouse. The problem was that she was still angry about her husbands death and took out her anger on Mary. She testified in front of the NY supreme court and made her case heard. Her case lead to the formation of NYSPCC (New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children), but even today child abuse is present in many homes.
As children are very vulnerable and many(even parents) usually with problems of their own pick on them. These cases aren't always heard, but are still existent and issues. Times are rough and when problems for the continuation of life present them selves Kid Flash will come to the rescue.... but enough of that it is true kids still get beaten by their parents. As some mothers would say,"I brought you into this world and I can take you out". Is acceptable in terms where the child has disrespected the parent but sometimes if the child has done nothing and is abused it could be an issue. There really is no way to make these cases herd but if encouraged there could be. I agree that this shouldn't be notified as a issue which needs to be heard. If more people knew about this then we wouldn't have run away children like in Mongolia. Millions have lost education and are stuck literally in the streets, some over the age of adoption. There are programs that are built for this cause but most of them are becoming rare and lessening.
