Article summery= A old women slipped on ice and fell down. She broke many bones on her hips. Having to drag herself 40 ft back to her house through mud and snow the old women called 911. Her daughter came to take care of her 900-acre wheat farm. Because of the recession budget cuts have lowed many programs which help the elderly. The women that fell got help because she lived in Wyoming. Wyoming had a energy overdose so they didn't have to cut the budget, but But at least 24 states had to cut back on budget.
The problem is as elderly become more isolated and most technology becomes unreliable in rural areas worse things might happen. Most sudden of things, but in many cases iv herd of stories where the government provides services like housekeeping assistance. If more programs as such as this were available then there would be more jobs for the poor and less hardships for the elderly. Some say that the elderly have grown tough because of age and experience through the tough environments, but I say that it doesn't give reason not to help.
